Paint a sugar skull mug at a new Denver brewery

Dos Luces
Now open on South Broadway, this fresh addition to Denver’s beer scene specializes in gluten-free corn and maguey-based brews. Get a taste of their pre-Columbian inspired beers while celebrating Día de los Muertos at this event where you can opt to paint your own mug and enjoy face painting and plenty of sweet treats. Proceeds will benefit the Museo de las Americas.
Cost: Tickets are $30 and includes the pottery, glaze, supplies, firing, and delivery to the brewery

Celebrate Día de los Muertos at a Colfax Art Crawl 

Friday, November 2
40 West Arts District, Lakewood
Head west for an evening of festive fun complete with fire artists, Aztec dancers, face painting, food trucks, and more. All of the galleries in the district will be open so you can peruse the works including Diá de los Muertos-inspired exhibits. Beer, wine, and food truck bites will also be available.

Dine on a multi-course meal created for The Bindery’s first anniversary

Chef and owner Linda Hampsten Fox is creating a special meal celebrating the people who played key roles in the Bindery past and present. Come enjoy her culinary creations at this special meal which includes passed appetizers before the meal, one signature cocktail, and live music. There will also be a community happy hour from 3-6 p.m. that is open to all, no ticket required.

Denver’s go-to brewery for quality beer and plenty of metal attitude is hosting its annual #num6eroft6e6east 666 Group Art Show. Local artists come together to create 666 unique pieces of art, each available for sale. Works tend to go quickly, so if you want to take one home, be sure to show up early.

This weekend is your last chance to see Pumpkin Nights’ first-ever Denver event. To create the feature displays, a group of artists worked together to carve over 3,000 pumpkins which are displayed in eight different themed areas. Come to admire the craftsmanship on display, and then stay a while to enjoy fire breathers, dancers, food trucks, seasonal beverages for all ages, and more.
Cost: General admission tickets are $20 and must be purchased online

This week long celebration of the city’s vibrant and ever-growing art scene kicks off this weekend with free First Friday events all over town including the Santa Fe Arts District, the Golden Triangle, RiNo, and Tennyson. On Saturday, head to the ART, a hotel for a demonstration by local muralist, Jason Graves, and Denver-based artist, Remington Robinson, and on Sunday you can catch opening night of Denver Fashion Week featuring a local designers show.
